Well my scanner is broken and I was gonna wait for it to be fixed so I can upload the artwork to the things I am sharing, but alas, instead I will just post a picture of the cover via the internet. Anyways, here is a great NJPP comp released by Decibull Records in 1998. The name of the compilation is titled Spunk: Volume One... Missing Children and has some awesome unreleased tracks from Face First (members went on to for Houston Calls), Rhythm Collision, One Cool Guy, Shower With Goats, and more, plus a bunch of other awesome tracks. I am 99.999% positive that they never made a volume two of this compilation, but this one is fine enough. I do know though that it was repressed with a track listing that differs from a song or two (unless it just they just decided to change the titles of the songs)

Today we have a very early Drive-Thru release titled Mulletcore. It came out in 1998 and has a ton of great tracks (of course a couple shitty ones) including unreleased tracks from Rx Bandits, Jimmy Eat World, Nerf Herder, and some more. This is a great comp for anyone into 90's style pop punk music; it is a rare find as well. I don't know the last time I saw a copy of this. Beware of the mullet!

I haven't made a new post in over a month, but I hope to start posting entries more frequently. Anyways, here is a great CD single for "Coma Girl" by Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros. This CD was only released in the UK on Hellcat/Epitaph Europe Records, but when I bought the "Coma Girl" 7" single off of one of the guys from Hellcat many moons ago, he gave me this single with it for free. The 7" only has "Coma Girl" and a live cover of "Blitzkrieg Bop," but the CD single also includes a live version of their song "Yalla Yalla" originally off of Rock Art & The X-Ray Style. The live tracks were recorded at Brinxton Academy in the UK on November 24, 2001. RIP Joe.
Track listing: 1. Coma Girl 2. Yalla Yalla (Live) 3. Blitzkrieg Bop (Live)
In 1996 to promote the upcoming release, Destruction by Definition, Hollywood Records decided to release a VHS tape of 3 songs from the upcoming Suicide Machines debut. The tape consisted of 3 live performances over-dubbed with studio tracks from the album.
For their 2nd record, Battle Hymns, the label decided to go a different route and release a promotion CD of 2 songs from their upcoming record (plus 1 track that was never on the record) that were recorded live in the end of December of 1997. If you have never seen the band live, they were extremely energetic and these 3 tracks well deliver what the band sounded like live. I believe a few other songs recorded during these shows were later put on their best of CD.
Track listing: 1. Hating Hate 2. Face Another Day 3. Friends
I've always loved compilations. It sucks that they are not as popular as they used to be because they helped me get into so many other bands. I've always loved not only Pop Punk comps, but also New Jersey comps. This comp came out on a New Jersey label (well actually the label's only release) and has some NJ bands on it, but also has tons of bands from all over the country. A second volume of this was supposed to happen, but never ended up happening. This is a great pop punk compilation with a ton of amazing bands (and about 1 or 2 not so good bands).
Here is the track listing: 1. Fun Size - Guidance 2. 30footFALL - Divided We Stand 3. Beefcake - I Gotta Go 4. Ninety 9 Cents - Pigs 5. Ten Foot Pole - Fiction 6. Bigwig - Pro Life Taker 7. Deviates - I Remember 8. Stick Figure Suicide - Dred 9. Osker - Stuck 10. Choking Victim - Death Song 11. INDK - Living With L.E.S. 12. Whippersnapper - Stand Your Ground 13. Lounge - Blue Sky Gray 14. Sig Fazor - Afraid Of The Dark 15. Cooter - Walk On Water 16. Next II Nothing - Dedicated 17. Last One Picked - Stereotyped 18. Larsen - Lover's Lament Crap 19. Nooner - Glad I Don't Know 20. Slacker - Choices 21. Mohawk Barbie - 40 Reasons 22. Humble Beginnings - Three Thirty Four
Well, here is a blog I created to post rare and out of print releases that I own that I think others should be able to hear. I don't have a way to rip my records or cassettes, but hopefully soon I will be able to. In the mean time its just some CDs. Of course there is rare things I have that I wish I could share, but due to requests I am not (mwahaha).
